Are You Too Scattered to Succeed? May 30, 2007

Do you ever wonder why you aren’t moving ahead in life despite everything you’re doing to get there? You might be too scattered to succeed. Your attention may be spread out over too many things. You’re worried about your family, caught up in your relationships, hounded by your bills, chasing after a paycheck, and hung up on yourself. You’ve got too much going on to see what’s really going on.
Having your mind pulled in so many directions is keeping you from moving toward the things that are really going to bring you fulfillment in life. When you should be taking several steps toward you God-given destiny, you’re taking one step in several different directions and going absolutely nowhere. Once you come to the place where you’re ready to cut away the unnecessary fillers and focus on who you were meant to be, you will find out who you are and how to get where you really want to go.
What are some things in your life that you can cut back or cut out all together? What things are robbing you of your time and resources instead of contributing to your purpose? Evaluate your life and ask yourself a question: Am I satisfied with the results of my life thus far? It’s time to focus your energy on what matters the most.
Unlocking the Storehouse of Your Destiny May 10, 2007

Did you know that there’s all kinds of great stuff out there with your name on it? It’s reserved just for your destiny. Having a destiny means that you have a predetermined path in life. As you travel along that path you can expect all the resources you need to succeed. The right spouse, home, friends, education, business–everything you need. However, most people haven’t even scratched the surface of all that they have access to. Why is that? Why are people locked out of their greatest life possible?
There are different reasons why a person might travel a route other than their destiny, but for most people it‘s an unconscious decision. It’s not that they don’t want to find their purpose in life, they just don’t know how or where to start looking. Everyone wants to live the fullest life they can, but not everyone knows how to find the source. Where are the keys to the storehouse of your destiny?
Obviously we aren’t the ones who determine our purpose in life. We have the authority to choose our path, but our true destiny is God-given. Your function on this planet was established before you even got here. The exciting part about that is all the resources you need to function have already been set aside. Look at it from a natural perspective. Is there anything that you need physically that the earth can’t provide? Translate the same principle to your destiny. For every God-given purpose there are God-given resources. If you want to unlock the resources, you only need to consult the Source.
Are you ready to receive the stuff that’s gift-wrapped with your name on it?
Tom Cruise, NASCAR, and a Lesson on Dreams May 1, 2007

Have you ever considered what your dreams might do for your children or the kids next door? What about a child on the other side of the planet? If you knew that by accomplishing your own dreams you’d make it possible for someone behind you to take off into theirs, would you dare to try?
In Jerry Bruckheimer’s movie, Days of Thunder, Tom Cruise played the role of a NASCAR driver named Cole Trickle. In one of the races, Trickle (Tom Cruise) drove the nose of his car right up to the rear bumper of the leading car. At the moment it looked like he was trying to push the other driver off of the track, but, in fact, he was using a technique called drafting. In a draft the lead car lowers the wind resistance on the trailing car, giving them both more speed. The lead car actually pulls the trailing car along with it by the force of its drive. When Trickle’s car came out of the drag, it was slingshot ahead of the lead car and on to victory. His car wasn’t faster than any other car on the track, but by getting behind the leader, Trickle’s car was pulled to a higher level.
There are people who have gone ahead of us and opened pathways for our success. We are no less responsible to do the same for others. You have the potential to pull someone else to their next level. The momentum of your pursuit for purpose will inevitably draw others with you. Never underestimate the power of your dreams.
Make a commitment to reach your destiny today.
